This research investigates the factors affecting social and cultural adaptation of Chinese students in Thailand, specifically at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Bangkok. A quantitative survey of 378 Chinese students revealed that Personality, Language skills, Previous intercultural experience, and Cultural identity significantly influence adaptation. Language skills ranked highest in importance, followed by Personality, Previous intercultural experience, and Cultural identity. Multiple regression analysis indicated that these factors collectively explain a substantial portion of variance in adaptation outcomes, with Cultural identity showing the strongest regression coefficient (β = 0.572). The study suggests Thai universities enhance academic promotion, affordability messaging, and support services—including language training, cultural orientation, and psychological support—to improve student adaptation and attract more Chinese students.Downloads
