The objective of this study is to create and assess a ‘Jelly Stick’ dietary supplement that combines Boesenbergia rotunda, honey, and Citrus aurantifolia. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the study aimed to identify consumer context and expectations, develop the product while preserving ingredient benefits, and evaluate potential health advantages—particularly for respiratory allergy. A mixed-methods design was employed, including focus group discussions (n=30) and a randomized controlled trial (n=200: 100 test, 100 control). Results indicated significantly reduced respiratory allergy symptoms in the test group and high consumer satisfaction (>85% willingness to continue use). Antioxidant levels increased, and qualitative data reported improved sleep, mood, and energy. The product aligns with trends toward natural, convenient, and science-backed dietary supplements.Downloads
